Good Newwz Box Office: Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani & Diljit Dosanjh starrer Good Newwz has done well even in the 4th weekend. The film collected 4.04 crores in the weekend gone by thus taking the total above 200 crore mark.
Good Newwz has collected 201.14 crore so far and has become 3rd back to back double century of Akshay Kumar in one year. But that’s not it, Good Newwz has jumped a couple of positions in Koimoi’s All-Time Highest Grossers chart by crossing the lifetime business of Ek Tha Tiger (198 crore) & Mission Mangal (200.16 crore).

This feat makes Good Newwz 22nd Highest Bollywood grosser of All Time, 6th Highest grosser of 2019 and 2nd Highest grosser of Akshay Kumar. The film will add 2-3 crore smore in its final tally and will wrap up somewhere in 204-205 crore range. While it will easily cross the lifetime business of 3 Idiots (2009) i.e. 202 crores, it will be interesting to see if it can cross Happy New Year‘s (2014) lifetime business i.e 205 crores.

After Good Newwz, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for Sooryavanshi. Directed by Rohit Shetty & also starring Katrina Kaif, it’s one of the most anticipated films of 2020. The film is the 4th part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe and will also have cameos from Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn.
Recently talking about Good Newwz’s mega-success, director Raj Mehta said that he has got everything that he wished for.
“It is a dream that I am living. My first film crossed Rs 100 crore and I have got everything that I wanted. The cast, the production – everything was so on point for a debutant like me, and on top of it there is the people’s live. It is a lighthearted film and people are enjoying it. For me, that is the success,” Mehta told IANS.
