Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom fell flat on its first weekday, which was always on the cards considering its disappointing trend over the 4-day extended opening weekend. After a solid start, the film didn’t maintain the momentum afterwards, and on a crucial first Monday, it dropped below the 2 crore mark at the Indian box office. The Tollywood spy action drama started its theatrical journey on a solid note by registering the biggest opening for Vijay. It surpassed Liger’s day 1 of 15.95 crores by earning a smashing 18 crores. However, since word-of-mouth has been mixed to poor, it couldn’t maintain a firm grip and witnessed a downfall.

How much did Kingdom earn at the Indian box office in 5 days?

As per Sacnilk, Kingdom earned just 1.93 crores on its first Monday, day 5. Compared to its Friday collection of 7.5 crores, it saw a massive drop of 74.26%. This indicates that the audience has rejected the film and has little hope left. Overall, Kingdom has earned 42.83 crore net at the Indian box office. Adjusting for GST, it stands at 50.53 crore gross.

Despite a low total in the first 5 days, Kingdom has emerged as Vijay Deverakonda‘s second highest-grossing film at the Indian box office post-COVID. It surpassed Liger (41.17 crores) to grab the second spot. In the next few days, it will also surpass Kushi’s 48.26 crores to become Vijay’s top grosser.
