Prabhas, the Rebel Star, has finally got some redemption with his horror comedy The Raja Saab. After a theatrical run that can only be described as a nightmare, the film seems to have found its last breath on OTT. After 8 weeks of its theatrical release, it has arrived on JioHotstar and made an impact with its viewership in the debut week on the platform.

Despite unbearable reviews and a flop verdict in theaters, the curiosity around the film remained on OTT. The digital version with extended footage, including the much-hyped unseen aged look, added to the hype of the digital arrival, and this strategic move by JioHotstar turned the troll fest into a viewership pool!

The Raja Saab OTT Verdict

The Raja Saab, in its debut week of streaming on JioHotstar, garnered a great viewership of 3.4 million, being the only film, apart from Dhurandhar, finding a spot in the list of the most-watched OTT assets in India for the week of Feb 9 – 15, 2026, as per Ormax data.

Prabhas Enters The Top 10

Prabhas‘s film managed to enter the top 10 debut week viewership for a theatrical release that arrived on OTT platforms, apart from Netflix. It matched its debut week’s numbers with Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam!

Here are the debut week viewership of the top 10 theatrical releases that arrived on OTT platforms after May 2025, except for Netflix.

  2. Coolie: 4.7 million (Prime Video)
  3. Tourist Family: 4.4 million (Jio Hotstar)
  4. Kantara Chapter 1: 4.1 million (Prime Video)
  5. Lokah Chapter 1 (JioHotstar) | Bhool Chuk Maaf (Prime Video): 4 million
  6. Odela 2: 3.8 million (Prime Video)
  7. The Raja Saab | Hridayapoorvam: 3.4 million (JioHotstar)
  8. Veera Dheera Sooran (Prime Video) | Alappuzha Gymkhana (Sony Liv): 3.2 million
  9. Hari Hara Veera Mallu: 3.1 million (Prime Video)
  10. L2: Empuraan (JioHotstar) | Single (Prime Video): 3 million

Note: The viewership numbers are the official numbers given by Ormax. The estimated number of Indian audience (in Mn) who watched at least 30 minutes of the film. The debut week viewership numbers are the official numbers given by Ormax for all the films that arrived on the platform, irrespective of the day they arrived in a week.
