Netflix opened the final chapter of Stranger Things with Volume 1 already available to stream. Viewers have been restless after Will, played by Noah Schnapp, gained powers at the end of Season 5, Volume 1.

Now, a few weeks after the premiere, the Duffer brothers quietly dropped major details about Volume 2, which will bring the last three episodes together on Christmas Day, before the finale release on New Year’s Eve.

Episode Titles Revealed

Stranger Things’ next stretch leans straight into Vecna territory, with Ross Duffer sharing a closer look at the episodes on his personal Instagram. He published the episode titles without any censorship. Chapter Five is called Shock Jock, Chapter Six carries the name Escape from Camazotz, and Chapter Seven closes the set with The Bridge.

Shock Jock Pushes The Story Into Darker Territory

Shock Jock begins moments after the end of Sorcerer, Chapter Four. Frank Darabont returns as director, taking a very different route compared to Turnbow Trap. Ross Duffer described this episode as “far darker, and far scarier,” setting a somber tone right away.

Escape from Camazotz Brings Out Tears

Escape from Camazotz marks Shawn Levy’s return to the director’s chair. The Duffers call it the biggest episode of the three. They even admitted that the performances in this episode make them cry every time they watch it, a comment that already has viewers bracing for possible deaths.

The Bridge Sets Up The Final Goodbye

The Bridge lands next, co-directed by the Duffers with Shawn Levy. The details remain guarded, even though Ross Duffer stated that, outside of the finale, this chapter stands as the most emotionally charged part of the season. He also hinted at a long six-day wait before the final goodbye.

Stranger Things Series Finale Plans

The Stranger Things series finale arrives on December 31 with a runtime of a full-fledged movie. Netflix has revealed the episode’s length to be 2 hours and 5 minutes. The streaming site is also planning select theater screenings worldwide to mark the end of one of its biggest shows ever.

Meanwhile, speculation about the ending continues to spread. Some viewers expect a pile of bodies, while others believe the entire story leads back to a massive game of Dungeons and Dragons. The Duffer brothers promise surprises waiting at the end, saving their most significant moves for the moment the curtains finally close.
