12 years ago, in 2013, a K-drama titled My Love From The Star featuring Kim Soo-Hyun and Jun Ji-Hyun premiered. When it premiered in 2013, within three months of the telecast, it had garnered 14.5 billion views worldwide. The duo’s onscreen chemistry and unique plotline also helped the K-drama achieve an average nationwide rating of 24%, which cemented its place in the K-entertainment world as KBIzoom. In the 2014 Baeksang Arts Awards, Kim Soo-Hyun was nominated for the Best Actor award, and Jun Ji-Hyun won the Grand Prize (Daesang) for portraying Cheon Song-Yi. Now, as people are rewatching the drama, the scenes from the series are doing the rounds on social media platforms, proving that the buzz hasn’t subsided.

My Love from the Star revolves around Do Min-Joon, an alien who arrives on Earth during the Joseon Dynasty in 1609. As he saved his first love, he missed his chance to go back to his usual place and lived on Earth for 400 years. He lives as a University professor, and as he prepares to take a leave from Earth, his fate gets entangled with Cheon Song-Yi, a superstar. What happens to their story is all about the drama.
