Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s death news spread across social media, prompting fans to express concern and the family to urge the public not to believe unverified reports. The 89-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week. When the death hoax went viral on social media, Esha Deol and Hema Malini dismissed the rumours and condemned the media for spreading fake news.

Several media reports revealed that Dharmendra had finally been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday. He was admitted on October 31 due to breathlessness. Breach Candy Hospital’s Dr Prof Pratit Samdani confirmed the news to NDTV and said, “Dharmendraji has been discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him home treatment.”
Seeing how fake news takes over social media, the Deol family did not take any chances this time. They immediately stated the legendary actor’s discharge from the hospital. It read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
Several movie stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, visited him at the hospital. According to the report, Sunny Deol‘s representatives said that Dharmendra is responding to the treatment; therefore, the family is hoping for a miracle.
On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. He will also appear in Sriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat alongside him. The film is slated to be released this Christmas.
