According to the Box Office Mojo report, Wicked collected $1.2 million on its re-release opening weekend at the box office in North America. It has also been revealed that the film was re-released across 2,195 theaters in North America. The film was re-released on Friday and will be in the theaters for one week.
Frozen 2 is one of the most popular animated films of all time and also one of the highest-grossing. It collected $477.3 million at the domestic box office during its lifetime, becoming the 25th highest-grossing film of all time. Wicked is now less than $3 million away from surpassing the domestic haul of the Ariana Grande starrer.
