But even before hitting theatres, the magnum opus impressed everyone with its superb advance booking trend for day 1. It has already clocked the third-best opening day pre-sales of 2025, standing only behind Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Game Changer, and has grossed over 27 crore gross already at the Indian box office. Coolie registers rocking advance booking numbers for day 1
As of 11 am IST, Coolie has sold 12.61 lakh+ tickets for day 1, grossing a whopping 27.35 crores (excluding blocked seats) at the Indian box office. This is a massive number already, and with a day to go, it aims to gross well over the 30 crore mark. At the same time yesterday, the film had sold tickets worth 19.68 crore gross. If a comparison is made, the Rajinikanth starrer witnessed a jump of 38.97% in 24 hours.

Clocks 3rd best pre-sales of 2025 at the Indian box office
With 27.35 crore gross in the kitty already, Coolie has registered the third-best pre-sales of 2025 at the Indian box office. It has already surpassed Vidaamuyarchi (18.4 crore gross) and Good Bad Ugly (18.9 crore gross). Before the day ends, it will also beat Game Changer (31.8 crore gross) and grab the second spot. It’ll be interesting to see if it surpasses Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which grossed a little over 35 crores (including premieres).

But now, it seems that the magnum opus might fail to cross Leo. Still, it has a chance of touching the 40 crore mark, which will be a big feat if achieved.
