The year 2024 has started on a phenomenal note for Ajay Devgn with his horror flick Shaitaan, hitting the ball out of the court and bringing in 100 crores at the box office. Barring special cameos in Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Sooryavanshi, Simmba, and others, this is Ajay Devgn’s 13th 100 crore film.
Interestingly, this is just the beginning of the year, and there are four films with the Tanhaji actor lined up. Maidaan on Eid, Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha, Singham Again and Raid 2! All of these films belong to different genres with a 100 crore potential if their marketings fall at the right place.
So technically, Ajay Devgn‘s 100 crore club by the end of the year would be 17, and he will destroy Salman Khan’s monopoly in the 100 crore club. Bhaijaan is currently ranked number 1 as the actor with the maximum number of 100 crore films.
However, Ajay Devgn already has an opponent who would battle it out with him on Eid with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Akshay Kumar is also a potential candidate to sit at the number throne as the actor with the maximum number of 100 crore films.
After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar has Sarfira and Welcome 3 lined up. Currently, his score in 100 crore films stands at 14! A single unit higher than Ajay Devgn. So it would be very interesting to see who breaks Salman Khan’s monopoly and matches him or dethrones Bhaijaan!
