Ajay Devgn is on a roll. In the upcoming 22 months, he already has a lineup of over 8 – 9 projects, out of which 5 are dropping this year. Yes, you read that right. The Shivaay actor has outperformed Akshay Kumar’s express deliveries of 4 films a year, and he is ready with 5 releases this year!
Interestingly, all of these five films are much anticipated, and the audiences applaud his body of work. In the last few years, the superstar has had a few hits and misses, but still, his upcoming films have made the audiences beam with joy.
The actor took a sabbatical last year with only a single film to offer, which was Bholaa. While he teamed up with his best co-star, Tabu, the film did not do as well as it was expected. Now, all eyes are on the actor’s upcoming line of films. Ajay Devgn in 2022 offered 5 appearances over three films and 2 cameos. While his parts in Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR were loved, Runway 34, Thank God, did not do well.

However, Ajay Devgn did offer a superhit with Drishyam 2 in 2022. The film collected 241 crore at the box office, and he might start shooting for Drishyam 3 next year. The latest update says that this time, the Hindi and the Malayalam versions will arrive together.
5 Releases This Year
This year, Ajay Devgn will have five major releases at the box office. Starting with Shaitaan, also starring R Madhavan and Jyothika in March, followed by Maidaan in April, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha In June, Singham Again on Independence Day, and Raid 2 in November.
Out of these five films, while three might sure shot enter the 100 crore club, it will be too early to predict the fate of the remaining two – Shaitaan and Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha!
1st Hit Of The Decade
Ajay Devgn has started the decade with a bang as Tanhaji outperformed expectations at the box office. The film also starred Kajol and Sharad Kelkar and collected 279.50 crore at the box office, which was the first hit film of this decade.
Massive Clashes With Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut & Kartik Aaryan?
While Ajay Devgn’s much-delayed Maidaan is finally arriving on Eid, it will face a massive clash with Akshay Kumar‘s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. On the other hand, Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha in June might face a clash with Chandu Champion led by Kartik Aaryan and Kangana Ranaut‘s Emergency.
All Flavors This Season
Interestingly, all five releases by the Singham actor offer five different cinema genres. While Shaitaan is a supernatural thriller, Singham is a desi masala film with lots of action and dialogue. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a rom-com, while Maidaan is a biographical sports drama. Finally, Raid 2 is pure classic drama.
However, despite the five releases and a 1000 crore cumulative box office collection, an average of 200 crore per film is too big a number to achieve as of now!
Lineup For 2025 Is Already In Order!
Forget 2024; the actor has even booked slots for the next year and is yet again clashing with Akshay Kumar in 2025. Reports suggest that Golmaal 5 and Housefull 5 might drop on Diwali 2025. Apart from this, the actor is also expected to work on De De Pyaar De 2 and Drishyam 3.
