Sohail Khan’s ex-wife, Seema Sajdesh, and Sanjay Kapoor’s wife, Maheep Kapoor, have shared an excellent rapport. However, their relationship was rocky in 2020 when the novel coronavirus struck the world. Sanjay Kapoor’s family, including his wife, Maheep Kapoor, was infected with the virus.
Their relationship deteriorated when Maheep Kapoor was diagnosed with diabetes shortly after recovering from COVID-19, leading her to decline meeting with Seema Sajdeh. Their coldness was visible in the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
Finally, Karan Johar had to intervene and settle the misunderstanding between the two ladies. He met them and told them straightaway that their distance was visible.
Seema, given the distance between you and Maheep, what do you think is the reason?” Karan Johar asked. Seema responded that many events over the past two years had drastically changed their relationship.
I fell ill a week before realizing I had COVID while filming. I tested twice a week and didn’t think I had it, Karan, but I was labeled a super-spreader. When Maheep contracted COVID, I worried about her and her family, calling her twice a day to check in.
Maheep shared that she was stressed during that time, saying, ‘I was going through my own madness. I had exposed my elderly parents and Shanaya to COVID-19. We all fell ill. Understand the trauma I faced after losing my house help Rekha to the virus while doctors said my mother needed hospitalization.
Seema said that when Maheep got diagnosed with diabetes a few months after contracting COVID-19, she felt guilty about giving that disease to her friend. She said that she spoke to Maheep’s husband, Sanjay Kapoor, who told her that his wife was in the hospital.
Seema further stated that when she met Maheep in the hospital, she met Maheep’s daughter, Shanaya, who told her that her mother didn’t want to see anybody. To this, Maheep told Karan that her doctor had told her that her getting diabetes could be a repercussion of the virus. After a lot of discussion and Karan’s intervention, the two decided to end their differences.
