The show had a 0.16 rating among this key demographic of young and middle-aged adults, its sixth-best performance over the past seven weeks. While Jimmy Kimmel has been a beloved comedian and late-night television host for several decades now, this powerful momentum may be a backlash to the FCC’s attempts to pull him off the air, making his show a rallying cry for critics of the Trump administration.

Jimmy Kimmel’s hot streak is reflected in the television ratings of his March 5 broadcast, which featured Scrubs stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison, the highest-rated episode in the past three weeks, with a rating of 0.21. Jimmy Kimmel’s YouTube channel has also been performing really well, with a total of 281 million views, with his monologue videos averaging around 4.4 million views.
The overall viewership of Jimmy Kimmel has also risen by double digits this year, with a 22% spike, bringing the total to 1.91 million. The spike in the 18-45 age demographic is 45%.
