The much-awaited acting debut of the maverick filmmaker is set to happen, and for that project, he has been offered a bomb amount. Sun Pictures, which also backed his Coolie, is backing his acting debut titled ‘DC’. And if reports are to be believed, Lokesh is reportedly receiving a mind-blowing fee for the film. For those who don’t know, DC marks Lokesh’s acting debut, and it also stars Wamiqa Gabbi as a female lead. It is being helmed by Arun Matheswaran, who last directed Dhanush’s Captain Miller. Lokesh Kanagaraj to receive a historic sum for DC

Since Lokesh Kanagaraj is a big name in the Tamil film industry, he was expected to enjoy a big sum as remuneration, but no one thought he would receive an offer of 30 crore+ for DC. Yes, the filmmaker has reportedly been offered a whopping 35 crores as his salary by Sun Pictures. This is really an insane amount, leaving everyone surprised.

With a sum of 35 crores, Lokesh Kanagaraj has made history by becoming the highest-paid debut actor in Indian cinema. Before Loki, no other debut actor was paid such a massive amount for a debut film.

Reports also suggest that this amount hasn’t been paid solely for acting, but Loki will also be providing essential input to the script and screenplay. Also, he’ll co-supervise DC, along with Arun Matheswaran.

Beats Dhanush’s salary for Kuberaa

Dhanush is a big name in Kollywood and is among the highest-paid actors. Reportedly, he was paid a solid 30 crores for his role in Kuberaa. If a comparison is made, Lokesh Kanagaraj is to take home a 16.66% higher fee than Dhanush, which is huge.
