Horror is a genre that Indian Cinema has been trying to cater in one of the best possible ways since last year! While horror comedies like Aranmanai 4 and Munjya ruled the box office, Psychological thrillers like Shaitaan and Demonte Colony 2 also made profits. Supernatural thriller Stree 2 became a box office beast, setting records. Tapping on the success, another supernatural thriller, Odela 2, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, has presented its trailer.
The film is a sequel to Odela Railway Station, which was a sensation when it arrived digitally on a streaming platform in 2022. The trailer for the sequel surpasses the permissible knowledge limits of my pea-sized brain, to be honest, because I could not understand a thing!

Odela 2 trailer stars Tamannaah Bhatia playing a Sadhvi with a big teeka on her forehead and advocating cow-rights mouthing dialogues like Jeene ke liye Gomaata ki zaroorat hoti hai. Inki hatya mat karo, Gomutra bech ke bhi jeevan jee sakte ho! However, this is not my major issue with the trailer!

However, my patience stops at 1 minute 20 seconds in this 2 minute 48 second trailer, yes almost midway when I see the worst of the VFX on screen in the name of a ghost, spirit or whatever that firebody is, challenging the Baahubali actress‘s mantra power.
So, finally is this film Mantra VS Tantra? Not sure, neither interested. While Tamannaah is flaring her nostrils and chest with Har Har Mahadev’s background music all my heart, mind and soul begs is, “Bhagwaan Hai Kahaan Re Tu?”

Helmed by Ashok Teja and created by Sampath Nandi, the psychological thriller stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Hebah Patel, Vasishta N Simha, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy. The film releases in cinemas on April 17.
