Join UsHappy New Year seems to have dropped over the week days. The film collected 13 crores on its first Tuesday and now stands with a total collection of 136.86 crores at the domestic box office.
The film is performing its best in Gujarat. In multiplexes, the film experienced a minor drop but overall the film is steady in the mass circuits.
Compared to the other fifth day collections of biggies, Happy New Year has been lower than the likes of Bang Bang, Dhoom 3, Kick. Since Dhoom 3 had released in the Christmas vacations, the film had a chance to cash in on the week days too and thus it collected a whopping 21.25 crores on 1st Tuesday. Also last Diwali’s release, Krrish 3 collected over 26 crores on its fifth day.
Although when it comes to the five day total, Happy New Year is the second highest among all films to collect over 136 crores in five days.
