Bollywood dominates the top 10 overseas grossers of 2025
In the top 10 overseas grossers from India, Bollywood has left its mark this year. Out of the top 10 movies, Bollywood has five movies in the list, including Chhaava, Housefull 5, War 2, Saiyaara, and Dhurandhar. Kollywood has only one film, Coolie. Sandalwood also has one film in the list with Kantara Chapter 1. After Bollywood, Mollywood has also left its mark with three movies: L2: Empuraan, Thudarum, and Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra.
Starting from the first, the list is topped by Coolie. Backed by the stardom of Rajinikanth and the hype surrounding the Lokesh Kanagaraj-Rajini combo, the film launched its run with a bang. Although it faltered afterwards, it still managed to gross 180.63 crores, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 at the overseas box office.

The second spot is surprisingly grabbed by Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara. Backed by strong buzz and word of mouth, it performed exceptionally well, grossing a whopping 172.2 crores. The third spot is grabbed by Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar. After a decent to good start, the magnum opus picked up massively and is enjoying a terrific run.
After 13 days, the Ranveer Singh starrer stands at a huge 150 crore gross (estimates) at the overseas box office. Considering the strong momentum, the movie is poised to become the top grosser, as it needs only 30.64 crores more to surpass Coolie.
