The couple who met on the sets of a film titled Hulchul in 1993 fell in love despite not liking each other at first. However, while they shared a friendship, it turned into love, and the rest, as they say, is history.
However, Bollywood fans had to suffer a lot after this union happened. Kajol was Shah Rukh Khan’s best co-star, and their chemistry on-screen was par excellence. It was so strong that no one had ever displayed such believable on-screen chemistry, so much so that people wanted them to end up together despite knowing the fact that our King was already married.
While Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were a blockbuster team, Ajay Devgn struggled to crack a cheat code with Kajol for their on-screen romances. All their films struggled together, and later, it was rumored that at Ajay’s insistence, Kajol stopped working with SRK. However, none ever confirmed or denied the rumor.
However, it was once that the Singham superstar himself hinted about the same when Shah Rukh Khan had to approach him to ‘let’ Kajol work with him in a film. According to a report in India Forums, the Pathaan superstar had a film offer for Kajol, but instead of approaching her directly, he approached her husband, the OG Cop Universe King. But to everyone’s surprise, Ajay politely refused the offer.
This time, Ajay even explained to Shah Rukh Khan why he had to make such harsh decisions and, for the first time, talked about the hate emails he and Kajol received on a daily basis. The stupid fan emails said that Ajay Devgn and Kajol should divorce each other since Kajol is made for Shah Rukh Khan only.
However, this report seemed very childish, but India Forums approached Shah Rukh Khan to learn his stance on the same. SRK was quoted by the platform, “First, I didn’t really care about them because people just do stupid stuff, but when I approached Kajol, Ajay told me all about it, so I told him about this, the emails my wife got.” The report further said, “Ajay and Shahrukh were quite upset about this, but now things seem to be working out. Kajol may not work with him again.”
Now, obviously, no one can confirm or deny if this happened, but considering the levels at which fans go, there might have been some truth to this story. But the great part is years later, everyone is relaxed, chilled out, and happy in their individual spaces. Hopefully, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol collaborate sometime for something big. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn and Kajol must bring something together, considering people have seen their chemistry in real shows, and they are a much-adored couple now.
