The serial killer we love to hate is back for a final kill, or should we say kills. Netflix released the announcement for the final Season of its hit thriller series, YOU. The show stars Penn Badgley as the twisted lover Joe Goldberg, who is all set to wind up its hit run after five seasons in two parts. The first look of Netflix’s YOU is here, and fans are excited to see how the Season unfolds.
Netflix’s YOU, starring Penn Badgley, become the unlikely hit of the streaming service. I was following the story of Joe Goldberg, whose weird tryst and fate with love usually ends with someone dead and him on the run.
Season 4 of the show ended up with a significant cliffhanger with Joe on the run again and, this time, falling in love with someone named Kate. Netflix dropped the first look at Joe Goldberg, who was living his life in New York City, and fans were intrigued.
There are a lot of new changes to season 5, with some new additions to the cast and some new exits. Creator Sera Gamble is handing over her showrunner baton to Justin W and Michael Foley, who also serve as the show’s executive producers.
The first Look of YOU season 5 only reveals a little, except for Joe’s location. Penn Badgley in New York City is iconic because of his breakthrough role as Dan Humphrey in Gossip Girl. The lonely boy is back, but this time as a lovesick serial killer. Badgley’s look as Goldberg is reminiscent of Joe in the show’s Season.

New Season love interest, same old Joe. From the beginning of the show, the love interests of Joe Goldberg have been the subject of fascination and intrigue.

Returning to the show is Charlotte Ritchie, also known as Kate. We’ll also see the addition of Madeleine Brewer as Bronte, a playwright who caught the eye of Joe Goldberg.
YOU Season 5 Release Date
The show was renewed for a final season in March of 2023, with a possible release window of 2024. The final Season is in production, with filming starting in March.
