Nithiin Robinhood, initially slated for a December 25 release, has been postponed. The film was supposed to enter the Christmas race, but it has yet to happen. The production house Mythri Movie Makers officially announced the delay, citing unavoidable reasons and assuring fans that a new release date would be revealed soon.
Robinhood is directed by Venky Kudumula, which marks Nithiin’s second collaboration with the director. They worked on the film Bheeshma earlier. Sreeleela plays the female lead, reuniting with Nithiin after Extraordinary Man.
The delay is reportedly due to pending shooting schedules and extensive post-production work. There are rumors that Nithiin requested a Sankranthi release, hoping for a bigger holiday audience.
However, producers are concerned about limited theater availability, with significant releases like Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Balakrishna’s Daku Maharaj, and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vaasumaam lined up for Sankranthi. They are considering a late January or early February release instead.
Robinhood, described as an action-love entertainer, holds significant importance for Nithiin. The actor scored failures recently with Rang De, Check, Macharla Niyojakavargam, and Extraordinary Man. He is banking on Robinhood to mark a strong comeback.
Australian cricketer David Warner will appear uniquely, adding to the film’s appeal. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music. Fans eagerly await the new release date, hoping for an exciting cinematic experience.
Confirming the postponement of the movie’s release, the producers said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, #Robinhood will not be releasing on December 25th as planned. A new release date will be announced soon. Hold on to your excitement. The entertainment will be worth the wait. This adventurous entertainer promises an unforgettable experience when it arrives in theaters!” stated the team.
