Lee Jong-suk is making his much-awaited return to television with the upcoming legal slice-of-life K-drama Law and the City. After months of speculation and fan anticipation, the series is officially set to premiere in July 2025, airing on tvN. It will also be available for international audiences via Disney+, marking another high-profile collaboration between Korean entertainment and global streaming platforms.
Set in Seoul’s busy Seocho-dong legal district, the drama offers a grounded, emotionally driven portrayal of young associate lawyers navigating both professional and personal hurdles. It also reunites Jong-suk with director Park Seung-woo, following their work on W: Two Worlds (2016).

Law and the City Release Date and Characters
The K-drama will premiere on July 5, 2025, on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN. It will also be available globally via Disney+ in select regions. As per the production details, Law and the City will have 12 episodes, expected to conclude in August 2025.

As for the man cast, Lee Jong-suk will play Ahn Joo-hyung, a logical, by-the-book lawyer with nine years of experience. Joo-hyung begins to question his choices as burnout creeps in.
Moon Ga-young will play Kang Hee-ji: A passionate and idealistic second-year associate whose commitment to justice often puts her at odds with firm expectations.
The drama will also star Ryu Hye-young, Kang You-seok, and Im Seong-jae in supporting roles.
Additionally, a cameo by actor Yoon Kyun-sang has also been confirmed, although details about his role remain under wraps.
The script is written by Lee Seung-hyun, a former lawyer turned screenwriter, known for blending legal nuance with emotional insight. Meanwhile, it is directed by Park Seung-woo and produced by Chorokbaem Media and CJ ENM Studios.
