After her stepfather, Dan Guynes and her mother divorced, Demi Moore resided with her mom, who was an alcoholic and suffered mental health issues – she attempted suicide several times. The actress – who was made to change residence many times as a kid owing to the family’s attempts to outrun debt collectors and infidelities, revealed that her mom would take her to bars so that men would notice her as a young, anxious teen.
Talking about the r*pe incident, the report revealed Demi stating that when she was 15, she arrived home to find an older man waiting for her in her home one day who not only had the keys to the apartment but claimed that her mother had sold her to him in exchange for $500. An excerpt from ‘Inside Out’ had the actress saying, “It was r*pe. And a devastating betrayal, revealed by the man’s cruel question: ‘How does it feel to be wh**ed by your mother for $500?’”
When asked if she believed her mother accepted the money for such an agreement, Demi Moore told Diane Sawyer, “I think, in my deep heart no. I don’t think it was a straightforward transaction. But she still did give him the access and put me in harm’s way.”
