While the odds currently favor Callum Turner as the next James Bond, nothing is officially confirmed at the moment. Previously, it was reported that Dune director Denis Villeneuve has been enlisted to direct the upcoming 007 venture. Moreover, British filmmaker and creator of the BBC’s cult period crime drama Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight, is set to write the screenplay for the 26th James Bond movie, which Amazon Studios and MGM will produce. With such a talented writer-director combination, it looks like the franchise is headed in the right direction!
