Stree 2 Box Office Collection From Paid Previews: Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao Beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express

The indications were always there, and now, it has happened as well. Stree 2 has taken a smash start at the box office, with a majority of paid preview shows on Wednesday night going houseful.

The last time one saw a large count of houseful shows in parallel was when Animal released and though the scale here is lesser since the film was playing in only two or three shows post 9:30 PM, it’s already an indicative of what would follow today and in days to come.

Stree 2 has taken a start of 8 crore* in just the night shows, and that’s remarkable because in 2024, this number is not coming even for an entire day, and that too with films featuring stars.

In fact, such a number would have been big in any year at any point in time if one considers just the night shows since the record keeper for so many years has been Chennai Express, which collected 6.75 crore, and now Stree 2 has gone well past that score with ease.

With word of mouth around the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor being largely positive, it’s going to be a stupendous day today at the box office. The national holiday will further help the cause, which means despite a three-way clash with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa releasing as well, Stree 2 is now assured of 35 crore today with a very good probability of hitting 40 crores landmark as well.
