Koimoi.com Brings You Box Office Top 10 – 2013 Movie Listings

On the completion of the First Quarter of 2013, Koimoi.com brings you ‘Bollywood Box Office – Top 10 Indian Movies 2013’, which is completely based on the Domestic Box Office collections of the respective films.

‘Bollywood Box Office – Top 10 Indian Movies 2012’ had witnessed 9 out of the 10 movies that bagged the much touted 100 crore membership. The Aamir Khan starrer Talaash, which made a lifetime business of 93 crores at the domestic Box Office, was on the 10th position in the 2012 chart.

Quarter 1 of 2013 saw just one film i.e. the multi-starrer Race 2, which entered the 100 crores club. It was expected that Sajid Khan’s much hyped  Himmatwala will set new records at the Box Office, what with easily making above 100 crores business. However, the film could just do 45 crores business in its 1^st Week, thus disappointing the expectations to a major extent. Though Himmatwala released on the last days of March 2013, it seems the movie may not be able to enter the 100 crores club. In fact, this big budgeted film, may also find difficult to avoid the Flop Tag.

Coming to other films, 2013’s 1^st quarter saw many good content films, less hyped but which did excellent business at the Box Office namely ABCD, Kai Po Che!, Jolly LLB, Special Chabbis.
