Guess which Bollywood biggie might break the record of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan at the box office? It might be Akshay Kumar‘s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, as producer Vashu Bhagnani recently predicted that the film might have a lifetime business of 1100 crore worldwide.

Currently, the advance booking of the film has opened at a slow pace, with around 13.5K tickets sold till April 7, 6pm. This has brought a gross collection of around 42.5 lakhs, excluding the block seats. This sale is for the Hindi 2D, 2D, and IMAX 2D and 3D versions.

With block seats, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has already earned 1.04 crore for day 1 against the advance booking. Currently, Delhi and Maharashtra are leading the advance booking scene for day 1, with 14 lakh and 10 lakh worth of ticket sales.

Almost Full Shows

Delhi currently has 12 almost full shows. Meanwhile, Maharashtra has 10 shows that are almost full. In the southern territories, Telangana is not yet eager for advance booking, with only 5.5K worth of tickets sold.

Comparison With Akshay Kumar’s Last Hit

It would be fair to draw a comparison between Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s advance booking numbers for day 1 with Akshay Kumar’s last hit at the box office – OMG 2, which also faced a box office clash with Gadar 2. At this point, with three days remaining for the film to release, OMG 2 was performing much better than BMCM.

The social satire, with three days remaining to release, registered a gross collection of around 82 lakh, almost 101% higher than Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s 40 lakh earnings.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff‘s film is ready to release on April 10 on the occasion of Eid. The film will clash with Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan at the box office. This will be the eighth time that the two superstars will battle it out at the box office.

Hopefully, advance bookings for the opening day of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan might pick up pace soon. Currently, it is definitely trending better than Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan.
