Back in 2019, Bollywood Life conducted a poll on the best performance by a female actor. Alia was seen in Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh, which turned out to be a major blockbuster. On the other hand, Kangana led Manikarnika, which sparked a lot of controversies but turned out to be a success at the box office.

Kangana Ranaut won the poll with 37% of the votes in her favor, while Alia Bhatt was placed second with around 33% of the votes. When asked about her win, The Queen actress said she was embarrassed by the comparison with the mediocre work of Alia in Gully Boy. Randeep Hooda came in defense of his Highway actress.
In a new interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Randeep Hooda took a fresh dig at Kangana Ranaut and said, “To target your fellow actors or your colleagues or your fraternity over things that you feel you did not get, even though I think you did get a lot from this industry, it’s just unbecoming. I felt that I should do it (defend Alia Bhatt), and I did it. I did not think about it so deeply. I think she (Alia) tries every time.”
During the same conversation, Randeep also claimed Kangana unfairly targets Alia Bhatt every single time. Meanwhile, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani actress has remained tight-lipped and royally ignored digs taken by her senior colleague.

Fans were left in disbelief when Kangana accused Ranbir Kapoor of stalking her. She claimed she is under surveillance in her building as well as the terrace.
