Ananya Panday On Pati Patni Aur Woh Remake: “Our Characters Are More Developed Than Those In The Original”

After delivering a stellar debut in Student of the Year 2, the latest star kid on the block Ananya Panday is all set for her upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh which also features Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in the leads. Ananya became popular as a fashionista much before the big screen debut and enjoys a massive following on her social media handles.

And now Ananya has opened up about the constant comparisons that are being drawn about her film with the original 1978 cult classic. Speaking about the same Ananya said, “The generation of that decade could relate to it, and today’s generation will associate with our version of the film.”

Further speaking about the Mudassar Aziz directorial, Ananya was quoted by Mid-Day saying, “In the past, women didn’t have such strong characters. In our film, Bhumi and I have prominent roles. Our characters are more developed [than those in the original]. [You’ll see that] through our dialogues as well. Showcasing empowered women is inspirational.”
