15 Years of Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades: Gayatri Oberoi Says, “Even Today When I Meet SRK, We Still Have That Special Relationship”

Shah Rukh Khan has done quite a few memorable roles and Mohan Bhargav from Swades is one such character that was bold, strong and impactful. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Swades was released in 2004 and as it strikes its 15th anniversary, Gayatri Oberoi is spilling the beans on his co-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Gayatri Oberoi who was a model then had to audition thrice for the film, she reveals. Talking about her working experience with the king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan; she revealed how he was kind and patient with her.

She also reveals that they had already worked together for an ad before signing the film together. “He was quite patient. And indeed, we shot for an ad together of Hyundai and that’s where I first met him. And he’s a wonderful, wonderful person! Even today when we meet, we still have that special relationship in that sense. When we were shooting, he was always looking out for me. He’s very helpful and I was very lucky to have got an opportunity to work with him. Also, there was so much to learn from him.”
