Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter is having a decent run at the box office, and while the film is still in the theaters, it has grabbed an OTT deal for itself. A streaming giant has finally bought the OTT rights to the war drama, and if reports are to be believed, then the figure is unbelievable.
Last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan bagged the biggest OTT deal reportedly and was sold to Netflix for a whopping 240 crore – 250 crore. That was followed by Prabhas’s Salaar, which bagged a 160 crore rumored price for Netflix!
Now, if the reports are to be believed, then Fighter will drop on theaters after a deal much higher than Pathaan was cracked! For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan, which was helmed by Siddharth Anand, was sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping 100 crore, and a report by Yahoo suggests that Fighter has been bagged by a streaming giant for 150 crore!

Fighter will be releasing on the streaming giant Netflix. In the last few days, the platform has bagged the streaming rights of Salaar in every language except Hindi, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. The film has collected almost 206.50 crore in 24 days and is about to register a gross collection of 100 crore overseas. The film stands at 341.67 crore gross worldwide after 24 days and has surpassed Drishyam 2 and Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang. In India, at present, the film has surpassed Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots (202 crore) and aims to cross Salman Khan’s Bharat (211.07 crore).
The film is still a month away from dropping on OTT and might still earn a bit in the theaters.
