Aditya Narayan is currently enjoying his newly-wed life. The Indian Idol host got hitched to long-time girlfriend Shweta Agarwal in a private ceremony earlier this month. But don’t you want to know how it all began? It was none other than mother Deepa who made them go on a date together. Below is all the scoop you need.
As most fans know, Aditya and Shweta met on the sets of their 2010 film, Shaapit. It was Narayan’s debut film and he was just 21-years-old back then. The singer was attracted to Shweta the first time he saw her but maintained a distance in order to maintain a healthy professional relationship.
On the other hand, Shweta Agarwal was never interested in Aditya Narayan. She would often ignore him and think of him as a brat. So once Deepa Narayan took the initiative and decided to send both on a date. However, the Indian Idol host says that the date was a super flop.
Revealing the details, Shweta Agarwal began, “I don’t like meeting too many new people. In my workplace, I like to stick to work. But now an elder, his mom said ‘go out for dinner with him.’ So, I did not want to disrespect her and just to keep her words, I went out with him.”
Aditya Narayan continued, “She came, she sat across the table with me. She didn’t eat anything. I ordered something to eat. I realized after order the starter that she won’t even share any food. So, I didn’t even call for the main course. So we just ate the starters and returned home. This was the date.”
Well, all’s well that ends well. And clearly, Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal were made for each other. We wish the couple a lifetime of happiness together.
