Around the time Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi released, Kangana Ranaut made the headlines for her feud with South director Krish. The latter had said that the Queen actor had hijacked his film and side-lined him from his project. A war of words was ignited, and a lot was said. Almost 2 years later, Krish has now decided to speak one last time and has put his heart out in a chat with Samantha Akkineni. Read on to know what the filmmaker exactly has to say about the same.
To brush up your memory, mid-way shooting Manikarnika there was some imbalance amid the team. We saw Krish walking out of the film. Later it was also said that Kangana took over the director’s seat and shot some pivotal parts in the film. For the same, she even took a co-director credit in the film.
Now when the Manikarnika director, Krish, who graced Samantha Akkineni’s chat show SamJam, was asked he said he wants to speak about it one last time. While talking about it, he expressed how he feared remaining unknown to the world. He said, “I really want to speak one last time.”
“After Kangana Ranaut and her team watched the film, I got a call after two days… As a storyteller, I feared I’ll remain unknown to the world. As artists, we can only show it to the world when we get the right opportunities,” Krish said.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Krish opened up on his feud with Kangana Ranaut. Back in 2019, he had cleared her claims of shooting a significant portion. As per Hindustan Times, he said, “Kangana has done 20-25% of the first half and 10-15% in the second half. I didn’t shoot a song and I didn’t shoot her entry scene. In the second half, she has even re-shot some scenes which I had done in a different way.”
He added, “Kangana even told me that Zee Studios hadn’t liked what I had made. It was looking like a Bhojpuri film. I laughed. People know my previous work. We argued but she wanted her own way. I just couldn’t understand.” He also said that Kangana Ranaut is rude all the time on phone.
Meanwhile, this was not the first time Kangana took up fights with directors and writers.
