After enjoying a box office run of over 1.5 months, Dunki premiered on Netflix on February 15, 2024. The film received a much better response on the digital platform and has remained among the top 10 non-English films globally. Ranbir Kapoor led Animal, which created havoc with its earth-shattering box office collections, was released on the digital platform on January 26, 2024.
Dunki crowned #1 on Netflix
For the period of February 26-March 3, Dunki remained in the 8th spot among the top 10 non-English films globally on Netflix. With a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes, it garnered around 1.7 million views in its third week on the digital platform. Shah Rukh Khan starrer was viewed for almost 4.5 million hours.
The list of top 10 global non-English films on Netflix is led by Through My Window 3: Looking at You (9.2 million). The Abyss (7.3 million) and My Name Is Loh Kiwan (3.1 million) are among others in the Top 3. It is also to be noted that Dunki is the only Bollywood film on this list.
Dunki vs Animal on Netflix
In India, Dunki has taken the lead and is the most-watched film. Ranbir Kapoor & Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which has completed six weeks on Netflix, has slipped to the second spot. Following them are Bhakshak and Code 8 Part II.
Amid the massive success of Dune 2, cine-goers are also catching up on the first installment starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya. It is currently the fifth most-watched film on Netflix.
