The episode on Wednesday sees Kristen being forced to make a difficult decision. The last couple of months have been hard for her. She went to prison by taking the blame for shooting EJ to protect her daughter, Rachel, who was the actual culprit. She was then kidnapped by Peter Blake.

Many of the DiMeras, including Kristen, were held captive in the crypt from which they recently escaped. And now she is about to make some tough decisions. Rachel wants to confess that she was the one who shot EJ. She is not in favor of that, but Brady thinks their daughter is doing the right thing.
And that isn’t all. Peter is hospitalized, and a choice has to be made. Will she agree to pull the plug on him? Or will she decide to keep him alive and running? Meanwhile, Melinda and Belle strike a deal. What is this going to be about? Is it related to EJ? Or maybe Sophia, who is Melinda’s client?
When the DiMera brothers contemplate their options, what choice will they eventually make? Elsewhere, Cat and Chad have an awkward run-in. The two wanted to keep their romance going, but Chad’s in-laws and son made things hard for him, which led to their breakup. How will their meeting fare?
Especially since he returned from captivity, will he find out that Cat kissed EJ in a body to search his house and get intel to expose him? How will he react to it? And lastly, Rachel and Sophia receive visitors on New Year’s Eve. Who will it be? Is it going to be Brady and Tate? Or someone else?
