Saanand Verma was s*xually exploited during a cricket match!
In a conversation with ETimes, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Saanand Verma revealed, “It happened to me once, during a cricket match. When I was 13, I desperately wanted to be a cricketer. I went to a cricket training academy in Patna, Bihar. There, a big guy tried to exploit me. I was extremely scared and ran away. Since then, I have stayed away from cricket.”
One may think it’s been years, but Saanand Verma still struggles with the traumatic experience. He added, “It is a pain that never goes away, but the thing is. You have to overcome it and move forward.”
Apart from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, Saanand has done some notable work in Television and the Bollywood industry. He began his journey in the Hindi industry with Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani. Ever since, he’s been a part of many other biggies, including Raid, Thank God, Babli Bouncer, and Mission Raniganj, among others.

Many wouldn’t know, but the journey to fame wasn’t easy for Saanand Verma. He had previously revealed that he was coming to Mumbai with only Rs 100 in his pocket. He did several jobs, including journalism, working in multinational companies since he had no money to afford food.
