With the release of the first look, Viineet Kumar and Aahana Kumra starrer Betaal backed by Shah Rukh Khan and Netflix made a loud buzz. Today the makers have dropped the trailer of the show and yes, it promises the zombie drama with an Indian touch never seen before. Below is all you need to know and do not miss to catch the trailer.

The almost two and a half minute trailer of Betaal opens up to a man that is performing a rather unusual custom, worshiping the idol of what looks like a British officer, to keep the ill omen away. Cut to we are informed how the mountain named Betaal is cursed. And this is when Viineet Kumar and his team of defence officers come in to take the problem down. We don’t want to spoil the fun ahead, watch it for yourself.

The trailer of Betaal promises a zombie drama that has never been experimented in the Indian arena. The prosthetics, costumes, sets and acting, everything has left us excited and wanting for more.

The trailer was shared by Shah Rukh Khan on his Twitter handle as his production house Red Chillies Entertainment is back the show. SRK wrote, “How far would you go to battle the demons within? Our second web series, #Betaal, a horror-thriller, releases May 24.”

Talking about the plot of Betaal, a remote village becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats are unleashed upon the locals. With the CIPD (Counter Insurgency Police Division) pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific, edge-of-your-seat conflict.

Directed by Patrick Graham, known for directing Ghoul and co-writing Leila, Blumhouse Television and SK Global Entertainment are the executive producers of Betaal. The show is set to release on Netflix on May 24.
