Similarly, there are shows and films that might not be grand or boast of something that is epic, but they still strike a chord with their simplicity! In the past, shows from TVF like Gullak, Yeh Meri Family, have hit the same chord with their simplicity, and the trailer for Pankaj Kapur’s Thode Door Thode Paas seems to do the same with its simplicity.
The show sets up a very funny yet thoughtful premise, a grandfather, trying to connect to his family, who is indulged in only technology! Either they are busy with their phones or something else, but they are totally dependent on the tech, when the grandfather, played by Pankaj Kapur, devises a plan!
The trailer is not about loud confrontations, but it is definitely crushing the silence between family members living under the same roof – the quintessential Indian household where everyone is thode paas physically but thode door emotionally.

Thode Door Thode Paas looks authentic. The concerns in a gadget-free world are real. The Indian home setup is very relatable, and the dialogue feels like what people actually say. This grounded approach immediately makes the emotional stakes feel higher.
