Accused Trailer Review: Konkona Sen Sharma Confuses You To Believe Something She Might Be Or Not Be!
Accused Trailer Review Ft. Konkona Sen Sharma & Pratibha Rannta (Photo Credit –Netflix)

There is something hauntingly beautiful about Konkona Sen Sharma. She enters a frame, and you are too invested in whatever she is telling you. But whether that is a truth or a lie is something we must figure out in her upcoming drama, Accused. The trailer of the Netflix original film has been dropped, and it makes you feel rattled, confused, and deeply, deeply intrigued.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the trailer shows the story of Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Rannta, a couple who celebrate life until something strange happens. The story peels the layers of a celebrated surgeon, Dr. Geetika Sen (Konkona), whose life turns upside down when she is accused of sexual misconduct at her workplace. But here’s a twist – things get weirder when her marriage with Dr. Meera, played by Pratibha Rannta, starts falling apart!

Director Anubhuti Kashyap promises an intense psychological thriller as she makes Konkona the hero and the villain of this story! We will not be able to find out till we witness all the layers unfold, once the film arrives on Netflix on February 27.

After Laapataa Ladies and Heeramandi, I am officially a Pratibha Rannta fan. Even in the trailer of Accused, she is proving she can hold her own against a powerhouse like Konkona. The chemistry between them isn’t about love; it’s about the eroding trust, and it is intriguing to watch.

The biggest catch in this trailer is the perspective. The story does not hint at anything from the Accused‘s POV, especially when it is a woman in a position of power. I just hope the film doesn’t become too indulgent in its silences in order to maintain the pace of a psychological thriller!

Rest assured, this seems like an intriguing trailer to keep me hooked for the film! Check out the trailer here.
