In one of the film’s scenes, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character had to survive an unbearably cold night, and that’s when the actor actually went to sleep inside a dead animal’s carcass. Some say that the animal was a bear, while some say it was a horse, but what the actor did for the role was indeed incredible. The Revenant Plot & Cast
Directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the movie’s plot is set in the 1820s. The film follows the story of a legendary frontiersman, Hugh Glass (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), who is brutally attacked by a bear during a fur-trading trip in the wilderness. When Glass is betrayed by his team member (brilliantly performed by Tom Hardy) and left for dead, he must use his survival skills to get back, find the man who betrayed him, and bring him to justice.

The film received widespread critical acclaim and got a big thumbs up from the audience. The movie has a Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score of 78% and a user rating of 8/10 on IMDb. Besides Leonardo DiCaprio’s Best Actor Oscar, the movie also bagged the Best Director and Best Cinematography Oscar awards. It performed quite well at the box office, too.
