Timothee Chalamet, ahead of the release of Dune: Part Two, got the highest-grossing film of his career with the musical fantasy Wonka. The film did an incredible business at the North American box office. It is also doing well in South Korea. Meanwhile, Henry Cavill-led Argylle opened to a poor reception here, and it is also the same at the South Korean box office. Keep scrolling to know.

The film, directed by Paul King, tells the origin story of Willy Wonka. The fictional character first appeared in the children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. In 2005, Johnny Depp appeared as Willy Wonka in Tim Burton’s movie and was widely appreciated by the people. He and Gene Wilder set the standards too high for this character with their performances, but Timothee brought his nuances to the character and gave it a fresh spin. The fans liked his portrayal of the role, resulting in its positive reception globally.

According to Variety’s report, Timothee Chalamet’s Wonka is #1 at the South Korean box office. The film earned $3.88 million there in the second weekend, per Kobis, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council or Kofic. It has been at the Korean theatres for twelve days and has made a cumulative total of $11.6 million. But we cannot say the same for Henry Cavill’s Argylle.
