Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan has taken a much better start than expected at the Indian box office and to an extent, Mahashivratri played a crucial role in it. Coming off a partial holiday, the film was expected to show a dip in advance booking for day 2, but the actual report suggests a healthy jump. Keep reading to know more!

Shaitaan picks up the momentum

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film opened to mixed to positive reviews from critics yesterday. Word-of-mouth is decent so far, and the main praise is coming in for the performances of Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala. This positivity has now helped the film to show a jump today at ticket windows.

Day 2 advance booking status

For day 1, Shaitaan sold tickets worth 4.20 crores gross. Today, instead of a dip, the film showed a growth of 19%, as before the first show started, and a gross sale of 5 crores was recorded for day 2. It comprises a count of over 1.96 lakh tickets. This upward graph is a positive sign for the film, and it ensures a healthy weekend.
