Hate Story 2 Surprisingly Scores Good On Day 1 (1st Fri) At The Box Office

Hate Story 2 on its first day at the box office kicked off to a terrific start. The film earned 5.25 crores on its first day the box office. The film, that began low, picked up tremendously in the later shows. This Surveen Chawla starrer did very well in North India and Central India.

The film opened bigger than few of the year’s more A-list movies like Bhoothnath Returns, Hasee Toh Phasee, Highway and Dedh Ishqiya. Hate Story 2‘s opening was recorded at 2 crores in 2012 but with this edition, the franchise has upped its ranks.

Single screen audiences are quite liking the film, though the obvious choice for multiplexes will be Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Hate Story 2 will score better in mass based circuits. The critics have all unanimously slashed the film but the audience’s verdict is quite the contrary as expected.
