Denis Villeneuve’s Dune 2 is being appreciated left, right, and center. The film has yet to be released worldwide, but the early screenings are already getting an impressive response at the box office. The sequel was previewed on limited screens on Tuesday in South Korea, and it has collected an outstanding amount and has seen a notable footfall.

The first film came out in 2021 with Timothee Chalamet in the lead; it also featured Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, and Zendaya. Isaac’s Duke Lete and Momoa’s Duncan Idaho will not be returning in the sequel, and there are some other additions to this ensemble cast, including Florence Pugh and Austin Butler.

Dune: Part One was also well-received by the critics and the audiences. It opened to $41 million on the opening weekend. The film earned $108.89 million at the North American box office and $433.79 million worldwide, including the collections from its re-release earlier this month. Meanwhile, Dune 2 has already been one of the highest-rated movies on some platforms. The early screenings have been going on for some time now.
