It was yet another day of over 3 crore for Article 370 as 3.15 crore more came in. The film had a negligible drop from Monday (3.60 crore) to Tuesday (3.55 crore), and now, with this Wednesday’s hold, it has demonstrated a further grip at the box office.
The footfalls are consistent on a daily basis, especially at major urban multiplexes, and that further reflects how the film is doing quite well amongst the target audiences. The Yami Gautam starrer has now reached 35.75 crore and will just be a little short of the 40 crore mark by the time the first week comes to a close.
This could well have been the lifetime number for Article 370, and still, it would have been good, given the kind of genre that it belongs to, the stage and setup that it has, and the intricacies of the geopolitical arena that it explores. However, the collections would be much ahead of that, and a lifetime of around 75 crore is on the cards.
