Sidharth Malhotra is soon returning to the big screens to entertain us with the action thriller Yodha. The film, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, also stars Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Ahead of the big release, Dharma Productions has shared a BTS video of the prep. Many wouldn’t know, but Sidharth has performed all the action stunts himself in Yodha. In the 2-minute 30-second BTS trailer, Malhotra reveals he’s never played a character like Arun Katyal. The role left him excited as he gets to portray two different shades and show the growth of his character.
Sidharth Malhotra’s prep for Yodha
Talking about the prep for Yodha, Sidharth Malhotra reveals, “I lost weight for it, got a different kind of training. It started with a lot of prep to understand what looks good on my body. We trained a lot in hand-to-hand combat with Craig and his team.”
Craig is the mastermind behind action sequences in biggies like War, Pathaan, and Jawan. The action director went all praises for Sidharth Malhotra as he added, “It was new for Sid to be using like knife techniques and close quarter combat stuff with very confined spaces. He was very easy to teach the choreography and techniques because if you showed him something once, he picked it up just like that.”
Witnessing Sidharth Malhotra prep for his role with utmost dedication is a delight. Even director Sagar Ambre showered praises on his lead actor.

Yodha trailer was released on March 29, 2024, and received a favorable response from the audience. It was a never-seen-before event where the promo was unveiled on air in the presence of the star cast, producers, and the media fraternity during an Ahmedabad to Mumbai flight.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatre screens on March 15, 2024.
