Join UsThe much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi was finally launched today in Mumbai. The Khiladi along with director Rohit Shetty, producer Karan Johar and co-stars – Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh were present at the event. While the whole cast of Sooryavanshi was on time for the trailer launch, Ranveer was super late for the event.
Ranveer came 40 minutes late to the event and blamed it on Deepika Padukone. He came running inside and after being scolded by Akshay Kumar, he said it was his wife Deepika who made him arrive late. He also blamed the Mumbai traffic and metro construction for the delay.
Ranveer enters the venue in a hurry and hugs Rohit Shetty first. He then rushes towards Akshay and the team who are already clapping for him. Ranveer does some sit up to apologize to the team as well. Akshay then says, ” Doing this won’t help you. You don’t know but Ranveer is the first junior actor who has made 4 senior actors wait for 40 minutes.”
Ranveer then pleads and says, “Sir, you don’t know but I have come from very far. My wife is a townie.” Akshay then mocks him and says that it looks like he comes from somewhere ahead of Mira Road. Ranveer then makes another excuse and says, “The metro work is going on and hence the traffic was moving in a single line. You did not bring a bike or a helicopter?” He then rushes into the bathroom.

At the trailer launch, Akshay Kumar expressed his love for the uniform and how he enjoys doing stunts on his own at the age of 52. Akshay Kumar plays Veer Soorvayanshi in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi that also stars Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff. It has Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in special appearances.
Directed by Rohit and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, Cape Of Good Films & Reliance Entertainment, Sooryavanshi is set to hit the big screens on March 24.
