While people were looking forward to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, that dream did not come true as Inshallah got shelved for reasons unknown. It was only after this debacle, we told you that SLB is still very keen on roping in Alia for a film and we think he has finally found the right script for her.
According to a report in Mid-Day, a close source has revealed that Bhansali is making sure he works with Alia one way or the other. He consented to work with her and he is not going back on his word. The source revealed that Bhansali is considering a new story for Alia and it will revolve around the brothel owner – Gangubai of Mumbai’s infamous red-light area, Kamathipura.

The discussion is still at an early stage and this explains why we spotted Alia at the SLB office so many times in the last few weeks. The film is said to be an adaptation of S Husain Zaidialt’s Mafia Queens Of Mumbai. It is said that Priyanka Chopra Jonas was first approached with the idea but due to her other Hollywood projects, the actress couldn’t give a nod to this project.
Apart from this film, Alia will be next seen in Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. She is also a part of Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. She is also uniting with daddy Mahesh Bhatt for Sadak 2 starring Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur.
