Emraan Hashmi, without any hesitation, blurted, “Aishwarya Rai.” However, he took a U-turn shortly after the episode aired. The Tiger 3 star said he was a fan of Aishwarya, and the show’s format made him say what he said. But he now reveals what went behind the curtains and how his statement even left Karan Johar speechless.
Emraan Hashmi told Bollywood Life, “Talking about Koffee With Karan, well I had to bear the brunt for it for quite some time for really calling a spade a spade. You know what, when that rapid-fire round happened, Karan had cut the shot, and he just looked around on the set and everyone was dumbfounded. He asked ‘Can you actually keep this (Emraan’s answer)?’ And a couple of people behind the camera said ‘Yes’.”
