Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala seems to be mired in controversy. After Sunny Singh Nijjar’s Ujda Chaman director, Abhishek Pathak claimed that the makers of Bala have copied the concept of his film, he preponed his film for a 1st November release to avoid a clash with the Ayushmann starrer. But looks like that’s not all!
Abhishek Pathak has filed a petition citing copyright infringement with the Supreme Court to stall the release of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. The petition demands that matters of the obvious similarities between the storylines of Bala and Ujda Chaman be resolved before the Ayushmann Khurrana film is allowed to release on November 7. There will be a court hearing on the issue on November 4, post which the release date of the film might change.
But hold your horses, as the clouds of misery for the makers of Bala have not ended here. There is yet another filmmaker who has accused the makers of Ayushmann’s Bala of plagiarism. And this time it is Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana‘s assistant director Kamal Kant Chandra.

Chandra has accused Ayushmann Khurrana, Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik of lifting his plot from his project Wig which was about a prematurely balding man.
