Amidst all this excitement, it was recently revealed that Gautam Gambhir has returned to Kolkata Knight Riders as their mentor, under whose leadership Shah Rukh Khan’s team won two IPL trophies. Gambhir is a left-handed batsman who has played the sport for the Indian team across all formats between 2003 and 2016. He was the captain of KKR for a few years. Now, according to several media reports, including India Times, Shah Rukh Khan offered a blank check to Gautam Gambhir to return to Kolkata Knight Riders and potentially guide them to a win for the third time. However, no substantial proof supports this claim or determines whether Gambhir accepted SRK‘s blank check. KKR is leaving no stone unturned to create an excellent team, as they also got an Australian speedster with a whopping Rs 24.75 crore, making him the most expensive player.
