When questions about her ex-flame Robert Pattinson came up, the actress dropped a bombshell: she might have said yes if he’d proposed. “I don’t know, I wanted to… yeah, no,” she admitted when Stern asked if she ever thought about marrying Pattinson.
Stern pressed her, “If he proposed, you would’ve gotten married?” Stewart didn’t flinch. “Yeah,” she said. “Every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it,” she confessed, adding, “I’ve never really been the most casual person.” She’s all-in when she’s in, no halfway measures.
And those Twilight sparks? Oh, they were real. Stewart couldn’t help but fall for Pattinson while filming the iconic saga. “There was nothing I could do,” she asserted, laughing at the situation she found herself in. But it wasn’t all roses. She confessed that the pair kept things low-key at the time, fearing that their love would come off as forced.
“I was so self-conscious about seeming like an attention-seeker,” Stewart explained. But sometimes love doesn’t care about your image. “We were together for years, that was my first [love],” she said, calling Robert Pattinson “the best” even now.
But the love story didn’t end on a perfect note. Stewart addressed the cheating scandal, confirming her public kiss with Rupert Sanders didn’t go beyond that. “It wasn’t an innocent thing,” she said, reflecting on its impact on her life. “That was a really hard period in my life. I was really young,” she continued, owning up to her mistakes. “I made some mistakes,” Stewart admitted. We can all relate to growing up and learning the hard way, right?
Fast forward to today, and Stewart is all about the future. “I for sure plan to get married someday,” she said confidently. But not because society tells her to. “When you know, you know,” she said. And now? She’s in love with her current girlfriend, Dylan Meyer. Stewart can’t wait to pop the question. “I can’t f***ing wait,” she asserted.
